Nanticoke, December 5, 2017 —  State Senator John Yudichak (D-Luzerne/Carbon) joined the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Caucus in hosting a healthcare enrollment session at the Luzerne County Community College’s (LCCC’s) Education Conference Center in Nanticoke.

The enrollment period for Pennsylvanians looking to secure healthcare coverage has been shortened this year to just a 45-day window of opportunity which closes on December 15, 2017.

During the healthcare enrollment session at LCCC, constituents met with certified enrollment specialists and representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance who assisted them in securing the most appropriate health insurance plan to fit their family’s needs.

“Every Pennsylvania family deserves the personal security that comes with having health insurance that provides for preventative care, like cancer screenings, and coverage that prohibits discrimination against those with pre-existing conditions,” said State Senator John Yudichak.

“Increased access to affordable healthcare results in more Pennsylvania families living healthier and more productive lives that, in turn, helps grow the Pennsylvania economy exponentially,” added Senator John Yudichak.
